HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CARDIO TRAINING CLOTHING FOR WOMEN?

Whether you're new to cardio training or have been doing it for years, work out regularly or just once in a while, your clothing needs will not be the same. How do you choose?

DECATHLON's fitness brand offers useful suggestions for your fitness practice.

To choose the right cardio training clothing, you'll want to take into account your workout level and frequency. There are three criteria to consider: perspiration wicking, fabric weight and support.

PERSPIRATION WICKING

When doing cardio training activities (treadmill running, cross trainer or classes such as step), you perspire, which can make you uncomfortable if you aren't wearing suitable clothing. This is why the more intense your activities, the more important it is to wear breathable fabrics. They absorb perspiration and wick it away to the outer side of the fabric so it dries quickly. For intensive cardio activities, opt for technical clothing with vents at the back, behind the knees, at the waistline, etc.

LIGHTWEIGHT

For greater freedom of movement without constriction, choose lightweight fabrics. They'll be more comfortable so you can forget about your clothing and just focus on your workout. For more intense activities, a lightweight fabric can be great for either loose-fit or slim second-skin effect options.

SUPPORT

Cardio training requires good bust support to prevent shocks and keep you feeling comfortable when working out. If you work out intensely, you may want to choose a tank top with a built-in sports bra for comfort. Technical product ranges provide optimal support with slim fitting options, elasticated waistbands and sports bras that are specially designed for high-impact activities, all designed with ultra flat seams to prevent irritation.
