HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR HOCKEY STICK?

The king of ice sports, hockey requires very specific equipment. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll want the very best stick you can get to improve your shots and puck control. And there are different sticks for different standards of play. Here are our tips.

OUR ICE SPORTS BRAND

OXELO

Our ice sports brand offers expert advice for your sporting practice.

You should choose your hockey stick based on your standard and the materials it is made from.

YOU LEVEL OF PRACTICE

Oxelo offers three types of hockey stick depending on your standards:

FOR BEGINNERS

If you want to get started playing hockey and have fun indoors or out, go for a wooden XLR3 stick, or a wood and ABS XLR5 model.

FOR INTERMEDIATES

If you are starting to play regularly on a club team, you might be interested in a wood and ABS fibre XLR7 model or a composite XLR9 stick.

FOR ADVANCED PLAYERS

If you're a pro and play frequently, or you play in official matches at a club, for example, you'll want to look at one of the full carbon models such as the XLR PRO, XLR PRO MODEL or the XLR PRO MODEL CUSTOM.

Once you've selected your hockey stick, you'll need to cut it to size. As a general rule, you should measure the stick when wearing shoes and cut it somewhere between your mouth and nose when holding it in front of you standing on the end of its blade
